Leaving Montreal

It’s decided! I will move to England to live with my fiancee. I just can’t wait anymore, and I also think this is a great life opportunity for me. It might be for a year or two only, and then we will come back in Montreal for good.

I can only see advantages about me moving over there instead of Wellard moving here. First, we’ll be together sooner. Second, I can work within six months once I’m in England, compared to a 10 to 16 months wait for him in Canada. I’m ready to leave my work here, and I’m convince that I will easily find a good job over there. Being a french-english speaker is a plus. The only bad thing about flying away from my home country is leaving my friends and family behind… But still, we still have the phone and internet to keep in touch, and we will for sure make a few visits to Montreal.

I’m at the very beginning of the Immigration process. It’s a little confusing, but Wellard cleared up everything I wasn’t sure about. I’ve filled my visa application online, and now I need to get all the required documents and send them to the Immigration Bureau in Ottawa. Oh and I’m also taking my cat Bélize with me! She’ll need to be vaccinated against rabies, be fitted a microchip, and have a certificate or passport. I hope she won’t be too traumatized about the flight.

So far, so good. Wish me luck!

I wish you luck for sure! You'll see, you'll LOVE England, I promise you!

So, fill in with attention and precision all the required papers (?%$/*) and begin to dream about your future new life! :)

What job are you going to leave and which one do you plan to look for?

English/French speaking secretary/receptionist workers are in high demand, especially around the South-East of England. I doubt my Nessy would have a problem finding a good job!

    Bientot, mon ange! Bientot!

    Hey Nessy,
I'm so happy for you and for Wellard. I wish you a safe flight to Wellard and I know you'll find a job. Let me know how things go if ya get the chance. After all, when you've had the chance to find the one person that you want to spend your life with, I think a person should grab onto that chance and follow your heart.

I think your cat will be very upset over having a chip implanted.Shots, implants, plane ride, new surroundings. All very traumatizing.PLUS,you may have to have the cat sedated for the trip.I have seen very upset and very sick pets come off of a plane or long car ride.I have even seen a couple who didn't survive the trauma. But I guess our pets have no choice when we decide to pack up and leave.:(
    Good luck.

Jimmi (aka Mr 'self acclaimed' Vet Tech),

The airline that Nessy will be carrying her cat on is well known for looking after animals. Her cat is pretty laid back, and I think she wont have a problem getting her here.

Whats the point of striking fear into peoples lives? Nessy is doing everything to make sure her cat gets here safely. I've known dogs and cats that have come as far as Australia and been perfectly fine.

Personlly, I find your comments to be unnessasarry.
