Old married couple
Well, it’s been a whole month since the wedding and it’s about time we updated the blog. To be honest, we’ve simply not had time to sit down and write about it all. Before I go into any real detail, Nessy and I would like to thank everyone who attending the wedding, reception and party on 21st July. We’d also like to say a big thank you to everyone who gave gifts, we really appreciate it!
As you might suspect, it’s not changed our relationship, it’s pretty much the same as it is now, than when it was then. All it’s done is make us official.
We’ve also sent off Nessy’s visa application, at a cost. Would you believe that it costs £395 to apply for an extension on a marrage visa?! Once she has that visa, she can only stay in the country for another two years. Unlike all of the illegal immigrants into the UK, who can instantly claim benefits, be able to work upon entering the country. Because we’re doing everything the legal route, we have to wait. Once Nessy has her visa she will be able to work.
Later this year, we are planning to visit Montreal for our honeymoon. It gives Nessy a chance to see all her family and friends again, and to be honest, I can’t wait to visit myself.
Hopefully within the next 18 months, we will be able to move back to Montreal. Obviously, I need to apply for a visa before I am able to live and work in Quebec.
Well, there you have it. An update as requested. Enjoy!
